Your Donation Enables Us to Build Homes

Housatonic Habitat receives very little government funding (about 8% of our budget).  Without your financial support we could not build a single home. Even with an army of volunteers, we would have no construction supervisors to train volunteers, keep them safe, and organize the building work. Without materials and tools -- donated, or purchased with donated funds -- we couldn't lay a foundation or put up a wall.

It's really true: We can't build without you!

Individuals choose to donate to Habitat in any number of ways. Choose yours from the menu above.

Habitat Tithe

When you contribute to Housatonic Habitat for Humanity, 10% of your contribution is sent to an international Habitat affiliate to support the building of decent, affordable homes in that country’s most challenged villages and neighborhoods.  Through this process our affiliate has provided shelter for 56 families in Central and South America (through 2009).

Gifts can be given directly to an international Habitat affiliate through Housatonic Habitat.  Please contact our Executive Director if you would like more information about making such a gift.

NOTE #1: If you want the entirety of your gift to help families in the greater Danbury area only please indicate as such on the donation form or in the memo section of your check.

NOTE #2: Unless you designate Housatonic Habitat for Humanity to receive your gift, your donation to Habitat for Humanity International does not come to us, but rather supports construction of Habitat homes in other parts of the world.
