Volunteer as a Group

share

Each year, volunteers from all walks of life give many thousands of hours of their time and energy to help us build houses. Groups from businesses, congregations and civic organizations all contribute their time building homes and building teamwork.
Housatonic Habitat for Humanity welcomes groups to spend a day at our building sites to foster a stronger sense of working together for a common cause. Those not used to swinging a hammer gain confidence, while the cooperation needed to build a house translates into great communication and true teamwork back at the office.

A company may send up to eight employees on a Friday (our large group day) once a year, as space is available. While we don't "charge" for team building, our ideal partnership combines both volunteer labor and a cash donation to cover professional supervision, tools and building materials.

Corporate membership in Habitat provides multiple group days over the course of a year, depending on the amount contributed. A corporate membership at $1,000 (our minimum corporate level) provides three large group days in a year.
